  11. This is the first public non-beta release of Ax, an incredible (and extremely
  12. useful) database program for the Aminet.  Ax takes the (unweildy) INDEX file
  13. that holds information on every file on the Aminet and creates a manageable
  14. database out of it.  With this you can:
  15.  
  16. - Browse the various file areas.
  17. - Search for files by optional flags, file size, name, description, age, etc.
  18. - Enter your own comments for any file.
  19. - Keep updates to the database through Aminet RECENT files.
  20. - Retrieve selected files via FTP (interfacing with most popular FTP clients).
  21. - And more!

  23. Ax has been redesigned using the ClassAct GUI toolkit, giving it a stylish,
  24. professional look, with even more features, like:

  26. - Full multi-threaded operations (perform multiple browses, searches,
  27.   whatever, on the same or multiple databases).
  28. - ARexx(tm) port (two actually!).
  29. - Reasonably fast search mechanism, with very flexible search capability).
  30. - Context-sensitive online help.
  31. - Opens on any public screen.
